Wind Sculptures
Wind Sculptures is a multiple award-winning photographic series recorded with a high-speed camera system that presents sculpture formations made with space blankets and shaped by the wind.
The artist sits behind these theatrical sculptures where humans and nature collaborate in a symbiotic performance. A joint dialogue between humankind and mother earth that uses as a focal point the space blanket, a material developed by NASA in 1964 for the US space program. The space blanket is a symbol of our unique desire for exploration as a species that helps us investigate the role we have on our planet and our universe.
Nature, humans and technology are the three elements of this series that try to support the idea that nature is a collaborative system where all its entities have the responsibility to collaborate to achieve an ecological balance.
Wind Sculptures is a travelling photographic series filmed in several locations across Europe (Italy, Greece, France, Switzerland, Portugal, UK, and Iceland).
